M's Visit

So this morning M came over for a playdate. Most of the kids that I have seen Katelyn play with are our friends' children who she does not play with often enough to really know. That is not the case with M since she sees her 3 days a week at school. There was no shyness period because of that.

Katelyn was wondering when M was coming over this morning and kept double checking on it - good thing she was coming over early. M's mom said she did not tell M until this morning in case something came up - probably a good idea.

They had a blast pushing each other in the car, hunting monsters, chasing the cat (he did not appreciate that) and putting babies to bed. They accomplished a lot in an hour and a half. Both were a little sad when it was time for M to go. Katelyn has continued to talk about it all afternoon.

Katelyn has been asking lots of questions about M - What church does M go to? Why didn't M's daddy come? The church question cracked me up. It reminded me of a question I got from Sam the first time she came to our church. Some people at our church raise their hands while singing and Sam asked me what they were doing. I thought for a minute and told her that the were feeling the spirit. Sam then raised her hands and leaned over and told me she did not feel anything. I still think I would answer the question in the same way. Her question was my first taste of what I was going to experience as a mom.
