We went to the Indianapolis Children's Museum on Friday. It was very big and nice but after going we (or I) decided we liked Milwaukee better. Katelyn is much like me prefers smaller crowds. The Milwaukee museum is much less museum and much more play which suits her age quite well. She did enjoy the museum but wants to go back to Indy because of the pool. She has been in swim lessons since 6 months and does not like to get splashed or jump in - again like me. But once she figured out that she could touch the bottom of the pool and stand up she was thrilled. We even went this morning before we left. Thursday and Friday Luke got in the pool as well. He was not sure of what he thought. Probably because I give him baths and they are warmer than Jeff's so he thought it was REALLY cold.
We had fairly successful drives and are hoping that this bodes well for our Florida drive.
Katelyn has been learning about food groups at school. So we had a lot of random comments about food items and what food group they belong to along with lots of questions about what food groups specific items are.
Of all of the questions the funniest one in my opinion was: Mommy what flag is that? Illinois Department of Transportation at the rest stop west of Champaign. I am the question answerer of the family. She might like to play with Jeff more but if she has a question she asks me. And Jeff joked after I answered she asks me because she knows I know the answer. Wouldn't that be great if she always thinks that mommy has the answer. Maybe not. Sometimes it is really tiring. One question though of mine - why does the Illinois Department of Transportation need a flag?
