The Trail

Jeff and I went to an engagement party for a college friend in Springfield last night. It was great to see her and her fiance and meet her roommate from her senior year. Funny I was her roommate sophomore year at Bradley and we talked to her roommate from SMU and her husband all night.

Jeff and I got to sleep in since Katelyn and Luke were spending the night at Diddy and Bupa's. It was great to sleep until 8 without waking up (I am sure that Diddy will be enjoying it tonight as well since she did not last night).

Katelyn and I made a quick trip to Kohl's today since I had held off on buying Luke long sleeves since he is so big (I wanted to make sure I got the right size). We spelled Kohl's when we got in the parking lot. Katelyn and diddy went to a turtle "show" at Forest Park Nature center in the afternoon. Then we enjoyed the AWESOME weather today and went for a walk on the Rock Island Trail. Katelyn took her trike which she is too big for but she said she did not want to use the brakes on the bike. Next time I think we will just take her legs. She stopped about every 2 minutes so she could see the tracks that her trike was leaving. Then she needed to be pushed. Finally after we had turned to head back to the car I asked if she just wanted to walk. She said yes and either walked or ran the rest of the way. It was much more efficient.

I just got a nice "kiss" or LICK from Katelyn as she heads to bed.
