The New Van

We went up to Milwaukee this weekend. I had a baby shower to go to and we decided to make a weekend of it. Katelyn had enjoyed the children's museum there last year so we headed there again. She was a little confused and disappointed that Auntie Cheryl was not there like she was the last time. Saturday after the shower, Katelyn and I went swimming at the hotel. It was chilly and she is use to the bath water at Easter Seals. She stuck it out for about 30 minutes though and we had lots of fun. We then went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner and walked around some shops.

Unfortunately the museum does not open until noon on Sundays. When everyone is up between 6 and 6:30 noon is a long ways away. Katelyn and I went swimming again after breakfast and then once Luke got down for a nap we went down to the lobby and did some coloring. We then went back to the same mall to Trader Joes and Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch and then the museum.

Jeff had golfed last year so it was new for him (and Luke). We had a great time it is an excellent interactive museum for kids. Lots of pretend play areas that she just LOVES. The highlight of the weekend though was the DVD player in the van. When we headed up Saturday she watched Mary Poppins, Bug's Life and Madagascar during the shower. And then today on the way back she watched Madagascar and Bug's Life. She is planning what movies she is going to take on our very LONG drive to Boston. Katelyn would like stay at the same hotel we stayed at last night on our way to Boston (more than a little out of the way).
