A Fun 3 Day Weekend

So after a week in Santa Fe it was really nice to have a 3 day weekend. Friday Katelyn told me twice that she was glad that I was home. It was so sweet to hear her say that - especially since one time was while watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

We had a fun weekend of playing. Saturday we hung out with Charlotte at Bupa Ernie's and had a fun picnic and did lots of playing. When we came home we played even more when we went for ice cream at Granny's. A sand box and ice cream perfect!

Sunday we attended a 4th of July parade and in the end skipped fireworks. Katelyn is a little noise sensitive and after 2 days of hard playing staying up was not that appealing to mommy and daddy.

Monday we had a great day going to the bike safety town. What fun! Then we did a little impromptu picnic and played at a park. After dinner Jeff mowed and Katelyn and Luke did some swinging. Katelyn was really excited because the last time we went to Lowe's I got her a little kid sized rake. She was talking about helping Jeff rake and asked me if I remembered when she had to bend over to help Jeff rake. She was so excited about her big rake. She is a nut!
