Feeling a little like fall

Summer seems to be flying by. The last 2 nights we have had dinner out on the deck. That is one of Katelyn's favorite things to do. Tonight Katelyn and Luke helped Jeff cut down some tree branches. It is funny how a "chore" for Jeff is great fun for Katelyn and Luke. They had a blast.

Next week Katelyn starts junior kindergarten. She is very excited. Because of her birthday she was going to end up in one class at daycare for 2 years. I think that the time she has spent in the 3 and 4 year olds with essentially the same teacher for the last 2 years has been awesome for her. She is very excited about the move up to a new teacher and a new program. The school was looking at the 3 & 4 year old preschool program and decided they needed to prepare the kids a little more for kindergarten and junior kindergarten was the result. I am excited to see her with the new teacher and experiences.

Luke will soon be moving up to the 2 year old room. As much as I worried about Katelyn's transitions from room to room, I have very little concern for Luke. He is my little social butterfly...walking down the hall of school saying hello and good bye to every person he passes. He will keep the teachers on their toes!
